A few weeks ago I had the delight of being a guest on the fabulous local show called The Wake Up Call. It airs on Saturday mornings from 9-10am on AM950.

Our subject: the juicy intersection between Health and Story. Over the course of the show we explored the power of Story in Healing by first reflecting on this quote by author Salman Rushdie.

“Those who do not have power over the story that dominates their lives, the power to retell it, rethink it, deconstruct it, joke about it, and change it as times change, truly are powerless, because they cannot think new thoughts.”

I was joined by my good friend, Candace Barrett Birk- Health Coach, Actor, Teaching Artist, and generally magical person.  As well as the lively and passionate host Laurie Beth Fitz.   We had a grand ol’ time.

Take a listen!  And consider: What is your story?  Is it serving you? Can you tell it differently? What would you change? How would this new story change you?
