Julia is a feminist wellness warrior. She is grounded in the practices of yoga, movement, food as medicine, and health coaching. She approaches healing, and life, with the belief that we each hold the keys to our ultimate physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. The vision she holds is to create space for women to know themselves, their bodies and their abilities authentically. Ultimately, she would like every woman she works with to feel like she not only has a coach, but also a community conspiring in her favor. On a macro level, Julia believes the empowerment of women is intricately linked to creating a just and sustainable world.

Julia’s personal journey has led her from northern Minnesota to California, South Asia, East Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Her “work” has been in teaching, coaching, community organizing, marketing, and strategy consulting. Along her path she has found herself, at every stage, working to support women spiritually, emotionally, economically, socially, and professionally. Starr Health Co. creatively merges all of her experience with the passion for revealing women’s potential; she is honored to do this work.

She’s a 200-hour certified Vinyasa yoga teacher and in the midst of finishing her Masters in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching at the University of Minnesota. Her bachelors is in International Relations and Religion from Claremont McKenna College. Currently she resides in south Minneapolis and you can find her running the Minnehaha Creek, saluting the sun and digging around in her backyard.
